Evan Peters is a heartthrob for many with his dynamic character and acting skills. Before making it big, he was cast in multiple commercials and supporting roles in films, including Kick-Ass and Never Back Down.
In 2011, Peters made his breakthrough with FX’s anthology series American Horror Story. He was a recurring actor for multiple seasons, playing different roles. It was season 2 in AHS that collided with the filming of Kick-Ass 2, so Peters was unable to reprise his character.
Peters began dating former costar Emma Roberts in 2012 while working on the film Adult World, which was released in 2013. Roberts was also Peters’ costar in the horror series, and she also went on to appear in multiple seasons. Roberts and Peters called it quits for good in 2019.
Diving into the hero universe, Peters was cast in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past as Peter Maximoff, better known as Quicksilver. He returned in the 2016 sequel X-Men: Apocalypse, as well as in Dark Phoenix in 2019. Although he didn’t originally appear as Quicksilver in the Marvel Universe, Peters was cast in Disney+’s WandaVision as a humorous reference to his X-Men character.

Tate Langdon, 'American Horror Story: Murder House'
This character from season 1 of American Horror Story was a breakthrough for Peters’ career. The teen killer was the first of many of Peters’ creepy roles as he became a recurring actor for the horror series. When Peters was cast in the first season, he told GQ that he “didn’t know what it was” and he “didn’t know it would be an anthology series,” all of which he thought was cool and interesting.

Jimmy Darling, 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'
Peters’ character in season 4 of AHS was inspired by Grady Stiles Jr, better known as “Lobster Man,” who had a deformity causing his hands to look like lobster claws. While Jimmy Darling is nowhere near as evil as some of the other characters Peters has played, his appearance is the most horrifying thing about him in this season.

Quicksilver, 'X-Men'
Before his identity in WandaVision, Peters played the role of Peter Maximoff, a.k.a. Quicksilver, in the X-Men franchise. “Quicksilver’s a great character.” Peters told FilmsIsNow Movie Extras in May 2016. “He’s really fun to play and he has a really fun superpower.”

Warren Lipka, 'American Animals'
Based on a true story, Peters plays Warren Lipka, who participated in an art heist. What makes this film interesting is the incorporation of the real people American Animals is based on, creating a true retelling of this precarious event. Peters found this encapsulating and told Cinema Magazine in January 2018, “I love the fact that it’s real. I love the character of Warren.”

James March, 'American Horror Story: Hotel'
James March is near the top of the list when it comes to Peters' creepiest characters. March is a serial killer and designer of the hotel in the show, which once you step inside the front doors, it’s as if you’re taken back in time. Peters told GQ in July 2018 how he developed the voice for this character, saying he “was watching a lot of William Powell for a 1930s voice.”

Jeff Pfister, 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse'
Peters plays a nuclear scientist by the name of Jeff in the eighth season of AHS. Although he has minimal appearances, this character is ranked higher on the evil spectrum when it comes to characters in this series. Jeff, perfectly fitting into the mad scientist archetype, has the ultimate vision that will result in the end of the world.

Kai Anderson, 'American Horror Story: Cult'
Kai Anderson is a cult leader and perhaps Peters’ most insane character yet. Peters told GoldDerby in November 2017, “You have somebody like Kai who you can see in news clips, who you can see all over the internet and all over the media. It was intense and it was hard and it was pretty exhausting.”

Ralph Bohner/Pietro Maximoff, 'WandaVision'
Despite Quicksilver meeting his end in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Peters was cast in WandaVision to bring the character back to life in the most unexpected way. Peters is already familiar with this superhero role, as he played Quicksilver in the X-Men universe. “I’m thrilled, I’m such a huge fan of the Marvel Universe,” he told The Flash TV in March 2021.

Stan Bowes, 'Pose'
This New York businessman is definitely different from most of Peters’ other roles, breaking away from all things horror and turning to drama instead. Season 1 consisted mostly of Bowes’ secret love affair with Angel. Unfortunately, Peters did not return for the second season, nor the third which aired in May 2021.

Colin Zabel, 'Mare of Easttown'
Instead of committing murder like many of Peters’ AHS characters, the roles are flipped as he plays a detective alongside Kate Winslet in the crime drama. This small-town crime mystery is captivating, as Peters said to HBO Asia in April 2021, “There’s so many different twists and turns. It’s a rollercoaster like that.”
